Un Seeded Teenager Wins Woman’s French Open


We have a woman’s champion at the French Open. Only she is not an ordinary one. At 19 she is the first woman to be so high in rankings and not seeded to win a major tournament. However, she won a junior tournament a couple of years ago so in not completely new to winning one. Her studies are very important to her.  Throughout the tour, she has been very conscientious on that front. Some are already wondering whether this major win will convince her to concentrate only on playing tennis. The courageous and powerful display she offered was too much for her opponent. Although she was wearing a thigh strap through injury. However, she admitted that even if she was fully fit it would have been a tough fight.

The winners  tennis is just incredible right now she said and she is playing some amazing tennis.

Thelma is our Sports Reporter, a volleyball lover and a former cheerleader who still remembers a couple of impressive stunts. Thelma had a very “girly” upbringing which didn’t stop her from being fiercely into sports. After becoming a regional Cheer&Dance champion and spending four years as a trainer, she decided to climb another hill and successfully completed the a Publishing Course. While polishing her skills by taking several sports broadcasting gigs, Thelma concluded that she liked writing more than talking: the sheer power and potential of a written word fascinated her. She started with co-running a Premier Volleyball League blog and playing a part in drawing attention to the Arizona volleyball program for kids and teens.
