It turns out that Shaquille O’Neal’s legendary 7’1″ height has nothing on the size of his heart.
According to the TMZ Sports report, Shaq has helped a Louisiana family to bury their child who died in a horrific car crash. The accident occurred on April 10th in a small city of Braux Bridge. Keshon Batiste, 11, and his friend Trayvon Alexander, 12, were in the backseat of a car that crashed into a tree, killing them both.
The Alexander family had insurance that helped them to organize the funeral, but the Batiste family had to start a GoFoundMe. They still needed $4,000 when Shaq saw their story in the local news.
The basketball legend immediately contacted his friend Phil Conrad, a retired chief deputy officer from the Lafayette City Marshal’s Office. After he provided Shaquille with more details, he immediately wired the necessary sum.
With Shaq’s help, both young victims were laid to rest on the same day of April 25th.
