One thing, however, is without a doubt. This pint-sized dynamo was a player with unmatched skills. Consequently, at the height of his career, he was awarded the best goal ever scored. As a player, his face adorned the cities in which the clubs he played for existed. He picked himself from poverty and with his skills earned unbelievable riches. Thelma is our Sports Reporter, a volleyball lover and a former cheerleader who still remembers a couple of impressive stunts. Thelma had a very “girly” upbringing which didn’t stop her from being fiercely into sports. After becoming a regional Cheer&Dance champion and spending four years as a trainer, she decided to climb another hill and successfully completed the a Publishing Course. While polishing her skills by taking several sports broadcasting gigs, Thelma concluded that she liked writing more than talking: the sheer power and potential of a written word fascinated her. She started with co-running a Premier Volleyball League blog and playing a part in drawing attention to the Arizona volleyball program for kids and teens. Today there is no form of the competitive sport she wouldn’t cover. Thelma returned to Arizona and has no desire to ever leave. We respect that. Email:meeks@worldnewstribune.com
