A Grand Masters win and there is no stopping the world’s no.1 in golf. This was a tough tournament being played at a difficult time of the year. Postponement because of the pandemic surge ensured that would be the case. However sufficient to say that did not stop our champion in any way. With a classy win, the record’s also tumbled in his wake. He states he has always dreamt of the kind of success he has managed to achieve. As a kid, he practised hard and long. The epitome of his win he states was to adorn the green jacket yet again. What was special was to have a past master place it on him.

It is not the last we are going to see from him. He is young enough to produce many more wins in master’s tournaments. We can’t wait to see what he wins next.

Thelma is our Sports Reporter, a volleyball lover and a former cheerleader who still remembers a couple of impressive stunts. Thelma had a very “girly” upbringing which didn’t stop her from being fiercely into sports. After becoming a regional Cheer&Dance champion and spending four years as a trainer, she decided to climb another hill and successfully completed the a Publishing Course. While polishing her skills by taking several sports broadcasting gigs, Thelma concluded that she liked writing more than talking: the sheer power and potential of a written word fascinated her. She started with co-running a Premier Volleyball League blog and playing a part in drawing attention to the Arizona volleyball program for kids and teens. Today there is no form of the competitive sport she wouldn’t cover. Thelma returned to Arizona and has no desire to ever leave. We respect that. Email:meeks@worldnewstribune.com
