Tiger Woods and Peyton Manning on Sunday’s charity golf match beat Phil Mickelson and Tom Brady in Sunday’s charity golf match whilst raising $20m (£16.4m) for coronavirus relief efforts in the United States.
Legendary NFL quarterback Brady silenced all with the shot of the day, holing out from the fairway on the seventh.
The match was played with no spectators or caddies the stars drove their own golf buggies. The four celebrities played at the Medalist Golf Club Florida, and was a follow on from a similar Golf match that raised a quarter of the $20m raised with this match-up by Rory McIlroy and celebrities.
The money was raised for charities supporting the Corona Virus relief in various states.
“I take my hat off to Tom and Peyton,” said Woods. “This is our arena, this is what we do for a living. The course they played is Woods’ home course.
“I couldn’t imagine going on the field and do what they do,” he added.
The match featuring these huge stars was filled with jokes, laughter and a lot of rib-digging. Brady got the worst of it from NBA great Charles Barkley who was commentating on the match when Brady silenced everyone present with a hole in one on the 7th, a 100 yard wedge shot.
Tom Brady joked “When the going gets tough, the tough get going,”
