Robots Taking Over Serving In US Restaurants


In the US we are being introduced to robots serving us in our restaurants. This is quite a novelty in a culture that thrives on being served by people that can talk to. It is therefore an experiment into how Americans are going to take and react to robots in their midst. Of course they are not new to another culture that has no problem with robots serving them. The Japanese have had this phenomena for some time and are used to robots both in waitress and waiter forms in their restaurants. It is actually quite a feat that robots have been developed to such an extent that they are let loose among the public. Where the mishaps occur with humans let alone robots. Spills of hot coffee come immediately to mind.

What is not being discussed is the large numbers who rely on normally low paid jobs. Being replaced by these robots.
